My Experienced Joining Competition
Hello, my beloved readers!
How's your life? Hopefully, all of us are good.
So, today I want to tell you about my experienced joining competition.
Since elementary school, I have participated in many competitions, especially in singing competitions. Not only did I participate in the singing competition, but I also participated in competitions in academics, debates, and so on. But the most impressive thing was when I entered the singing competition 4 years ago.
Four years ago I performed the song 'The Power of Love by Celine Dion'. We all know that this song is very difficult, I am very challenged to bring this song. And my weakness is not easy to remember the lyrics even though the lyrics of Indonesian songs. But I try as much as possible. I listen to the song every day and while reading the text over and over again so I can remember it. The time prepared is not so much. Only with 5 days, I have to master the song. Besides that song, I had to bring a regional song called "O Tano Batak". I really have a hard time dealing with my weaknesses, it's hard to memorize the lyrics. Moreover, the song 'O Tano Batak' is a Toba regional song even I can't understand what the song means.
So, because I am very visualizing, I watch and learn through the videos. Slowly I understood the meaning of the two songs. And sometimes I ask my teacher who has a Toba Batak to explain the song. I also learned to express both songs. Because mastering the song is not only mastering the lyrics, but singing techniques and expressions are needed.
Long story short, before the competition began. I got a bully from one of my teachers because the dress I wear is just that if I perform at school. My favorite blue dress and my mother's stitches. The design that we planned together. That is why I always wear a dress. Because it has a story related to the dress.
Besides that, he bullied me because I competed a lot at that time. Indeed, I participated in many competitions at that time. I entered a sports competition in the field of women's futsal. Besides that, I participated in dance, choir and solo competitions. I didn't know this one teacher of mine didn't really like me. He always made fun of me. No wonder so many students and even teachers don't like it.
But I do not want to fall because of the chatter. I don't want to be mentally damaged because of one person. My parents, my friends, and favorite teachers always support me. He encouraged me so that I would not give up easily in the face of a difficult situation.
The competition began, I got the champion. And I proved to my teacher that I was capable of. I got 1st solo vocal champion, 3rd trio champion, 2nd choir champion and 1st female futsal hope. My parents were very happy because I brought a lot of awards. I am happy not because of my success. But I'm glad my parents are happy because of my achievements. Of all the awards, I can only bring two medals. Apart from that, it was in my teammates.
